So! I got my Japanese Coach from Gamefly a couple of days ago, and I will admit, this thing is actually a lot better than what I expected. It has a really good features such as:
A dictionary, A fairly broad phrasebook for commonly translated questions (Especially if you're a tourist, and it even has the translation of : I am a tourist, in the phrasebook), a small recorder so you can record yourself and compare it to how it's usually said.
Not to mention it has a long list of games you can play to review of the this you've learned. So far, I'm trying to learn to right in Hiragana, which is the basic Japanese Writing System (At least that's what the game said. xD)But I've only gotten to the sixth lesson, and I still have 23 more to go. I've covered numbers, days of the week, colors, and some common Japanese words.
I'm really enjoying the game to be quite honest with you, and I'm hoping to learn at least enough from it to where I can proceed in learning more if I were to proceed in learning the language in some sort of class at least. If I can find such a thing in Texas.
